VENDOR REVIEWS Venue: Osceola Beach, Jefferson Valley NY: A+++, Manager: Terry Fokine They ROCKED! We had food waiting for us at our table, set up and cleaned up amazingly quick! Terry was the leader, told us what to do, where to go, really was the wedding planner of the day. The place transformed from a picnic ground beach to a wedding venue – it was much more than I expected. The price was ˝ what we would have paid for a Saturday night at any hotel in Westchester and the food was 10 times better -everything from lobster to hot dogs – it was a clambake wedding, but they still managed to make it classy. For what we wanted and expected we got 10x more! www.osceolabeach.com DJ: Joe Shane, Mobile Music: A+++ This was my favorite vendor by far – this guy MADE the wedding! He and his assistant managed to get everyone dancing and partying outdoors, right in the sand – he had a perfect combination of beachy/wedding music and really knew how to feel out he crowd. The best part? He wasn’t like a Bar Mitzpah DJ – no light shows, no plastic hats or electric slides etc. He was classy and FUN FUN FUN!! www.joeshane.com Florist: Stew Leonards: B+ Pricewise, I could not go wrong – my flowers were absolutely gorgeous!! I would highly recommended them. Why the B+? They didn’t follow my directions to the T, a few of the colors were off but not dramatically. Officiant: Reverend Melanie Gambino, A Melanie was a great non-denominational officiant. She managed to capture our spirituality without bringing religion into the ceremony. We got a ton of compliments on how different our ceremony was – and she basically allowed us to create our own ceremony and guided us in the right direction. Our ceremony WAS different, it involved and apache wedding prayer, a Tibetan singing bowl, and the sand ceremony. Limo: Leros A They were great, timely, polite and well priced. Hair & Makeup- Harbour Lites, Milford, CT, A These girls were GREAT! A team of 3 came to my parents house in Milford and did hair and make-up. Not only did everything come out perfectly, but the prices were great too! My day-of hair came out better than my trial!! Price was well under $100 pp for hair AND makeup! BM Dresses-Aria www.ariadress.com A Beautiful product, great customer service- I got a ton of compliments. They were always happy to send me more color samples too. I was initially wary of working on-line with a dress vendor, but they were GREAT! Hotel/Room Block: Mount Kisco Holiday Inn: B- Initally I had a really hard time dealing with the holiday inn – no one was calling me back, and I was getting really worried. Then I got in touch with a great woman, Jackie, who was there to help out whenever I needed her – but up until then i was not a happy camper. The other downer was that the hotel sold out before all of my guests had a chance to book – butr it was the guests fault for booking late. Also, I thought it was cheesy that I had to PAY for my OOT bags to be delivered. Rehearsal Dinner: Mount Kisco Holiday Inn: A as a rehearsal dinner this place was great!
